Governor Information
Governors hold an important public office and their identity should be known to their school and wider communities. In the interests of transparency, we publish here the details of our governance arrangements in a readily accessible form.
St. Wilfrid’s RC Primary School – Governing Body
Our Governing Body splits into two committees to oversee the work of the school.
The Curriculum, Staffing and Admissions Committee evaluate the school curriculum, data and standards, staff and admissions. Our current members of this committee are Miss Helen Beresford (Chair), Mrs Ruth Miller, Mrs Nicola I'Anson, Mrs Catherine Ravenhill, Mrs Ornella Bushell and Mr John McHugh (Headteacher).
The Finance, Buildings and Health and Safety Committee which look at matters of finance and audit, including the school budget, the school premises and all matters of Health & Safety. Our current members of this committee are Mr John Spencer (Chair), Fr Tony Dutton, Mr Matthew Mukwey, Ms Shauntelle Riley and Mr John McHugh (Headteacher).
Following termly meetings of these two committees, a full governing body meeting is held each term to discuss committee decisions and whole school matters.
Full Governing Body
All members of our two committees make up our Full Governing Body.
Our Chair of Governors is Mrs Ruth Miller.
Our Vice Chair of Governors is Mr John Spencer.
Our Clerk to Governors is Mrs Julie Pye.
St Wilfrid's RC Primary School currently has no associate members on its governing body. No current governors have governance roles in other educational institutions and there are no relationships between governors or relationships between governors and school staff.
