Longridge Field Day
At St Wilfrid's, we pride ourselves on being at the heart of the Longridge Community. If there is a significant national or local event, the chances are our school family will take part.
One such event is the annual Longridge Field Day, when all our school dress up and take part in the town's parade day. We have a decorated wagon float each year.
For the last Field Day, in the summer term 2025, our theme for the float was Reading for Pleasure. All our classes produced panels based on our favourite books to decorate the wagon, and we all dressed up as our favourite book characters...
Can you guess what Frank L Baum classic story characters the staff dressed as?

After Field Day, which is always on a Saturday, we decorate our school hall using the wagon panels.
We then arrive back to school on Monday evening, for a Themed School Disco.
Again, we dress as our characters to add to the fun...
