SEND and Mental Health Information

Our SENCo (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator) is Miss Zoe Batty.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact her at school.  She will always be happy to discuss any questions you have, or signpost you to sources of further advice.

Click here for our school’s Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Policy.

Our Mental Health Champion is our SENCo, Miss Batty. Our Mental Health Team also includes our Heateacher, Mr McHugh and KS1 Leader, Mrs Dawson. All our team have completed the ‘Mental Health First Aider’ course. If any parents (or children) have any concerns regarding mental health of a child please see a member of the team.

Our Local Authority, Lancashire, publishes its Local Offer for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Click here for the LCC LOCAL OFFER.

All schools are now required to publish a ‘Local Offer’ which outlines their provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND).

Our local school offer can be found by clicking on the link below so that parents of children with Special educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) know what support they can expect if their child attends our school;

We also have a SEND Information Report which details our school’s policy for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or disabilities. This report complies with section 69(2) of the Children and Families Act 2014, regulation 51 and schedule 1 of the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014.

We also have an accessibility plan which we have prepared in compliance with paragraph 3 of schedule 10 of the Equality Act 2010. This is part of our Equality Policy so can be accessed through the Policies and Procedures section of the School Information tab on our website or directly through the link below;
