Fairsnape (Y1)

  Welcome to Fairsnape Class 2021-22

Mrs Martin, Mrs Ashe and Miss Lord are the adults who teach, guide and care for us in Year 1.

We are always busy in Fairsnape Class! Don’t forget to check our Class SeeSaw for all of the things we have been learning about.  If you have lost your QR code to log in, please come and get a copy from us. You will need to log in to SeeSaw to enable access to any home learning

Autumn 1 – Growth and Green Fingers

Our topic this half term is called Growth and Green Fingers.  We are looking forward to learning about plants and how they grow. We will be looking at how the seasons change from summer into autumn.  Please click here to view our curriculum map for this half term.  If you would like to see our Knowledge Organiser for this unit then please click here.

Our first week in Fairsnape…
We have enjoyed accessing all of the different learning in the classroom to find out more about our topic.

English

We have been focussing on the story ‘Colour Monster’.  We have been thinking about our feelings about moving into Year 1 and how we can take care of each other.

PE

Our PE days are Mondays and Tuesdays. We have been doing lots of team work as well as throwing and catching.

Our Class Charter

At St Wilfrid’s we are proud to be a Rights Respecting School.  We have been thinking about our rights and which ones we think are the most important ones to include in our class charter.

RE

This half term we will be thinking about our families and how they love and care for us.  We are looking forward to sharing stories about our families.
